WE HAVE BEGUN A NEW SERMON SERIES titled “Jesus & the Apocalypse.” There is currently a renewed enthusiasm and alarm about the end of time. Many believe that we are living in the real last days of earth’s history, and that the second coming of Christ is right around the corner. Adventism was—and is—an apocalyptic movement. What would Jesus of Nazareth say about all this? We hope you are enlightened and comforted by this series.

OUR CHURCH WILL BE DELIVERING BOXES OF SEES CANDY tomorrow to the mothers living in the South Bay domestic violence shelter. Each box will cost $25. If you would like to donate monetarily to this ministry that brings joy and hope to so many, please indicate Women’s Shelter on your tithe envelope.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR DR. MILTON FREDRICKSEN is pending and we will keep you updated as information becomes available. Please continue to keep Milt’s wife, Carol, and the entire family in your prayers.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS who are interested in forming a new second Sabbath breakfast team. We are also looking for one or two volunteers to join the existing 4th Sabbath breakfast team. If interested, please talk to Pastor Gary.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR DR. WALT EMERY will be held on Saturday, June 22, at 3:00 pm at the La Mesa SDA Church.

THE ESCONDIDO ADVENTIST CHURCH’S quarterly seminar series Living Well continues May 18 with a discussion on anxiety. Hear from mental health practitioners about tools to manage anxiety and live well. The seminar begins at 2:00 pm in the Escondido SDA Church sanctuary.
