WE ARE IN THE MIDST A NEW SERMON SERIES on the life and writings of Paul. Paul’s teachings are fundamental in Christianity and they tell us a lot about the man himself. We hope you are enjoying this series.
A CELEBRATION OF LIFE FOR ANDY BISHOP will be held in our sanctuary on Saturday, October 9, at 3 pm.
THE SCAFFOLDING around various points of the education building will be there for the next few weeks. If you have young children, please monitor them closely in that area.
AN AREA-WIDE SOUTHEASTERN CALIFORNIA CONFERENCE Midterm Session will be held in our fellowship hall this Tuesday, September 28, at 6:30 pm. Come hear the latest Conference news, ask question of Conference officers, and meet new Conference president Jonathan Park.
THE FAMILY OF SHIRLEY ABBEY would like to express its heartfelt appreciation for all the prayers, cards, hugs, and flowers after her death. A big thank you also to the Hearts-to-Hearts ladies for the wonderful reception, and to Pastor Gary for his songs and tribute at her memorial.
THE SOUTH BAY SHELTER is now accepting donations for non-perishable food items. Donations can be placed in the round barrel in our church foyer.
VOLUNTEER SIGNUPS for opening prayer and children’s story are taking place in our foyer. If you don’t know your future schedule, please don’t let that prevent you from signing up. If the date approaches and you are unable to volunteer, we will gladly find a replacement.
THE SON OF ONE OF OUR CHURCH MEMBERS is available for tutoring or child care services weekday afternoons or any time on the weekends. This young gentleman is a high school sophomore and able to tutor in any subject needed. If you are interested, please contact Danielle Verbrugghen at (619) 302-7227.
WE ARE WANTING TO HOLD A MUSIC SERIES next year that will bring Christian musicians to perform in our sanctuary. If you would like to donate, please mark your tithe envelope “music series.”
