WE ARE THANKFUL FOR YOU, our Church family, and we wish you a blessed Thanksgiving filled with fellowship and the people you love.
BECAUSE OF THE GENEROSITY you poured out for the South Bay Shelter last year, we were able to use the remaining funds to purchase enough food to supply each family at the shelter with a Thanksgiving food basket this week. As we gear up for our Christmas Angel Ministry, we hope you will continue to give abundantly to those who are in desperate need of cheer this season.
THE DATE HAS CHANGED FOR THE “SECRET FRIENDS” reveal luncheon. The luncheon will now be held on Sabbath, December 15, immediately following the worship service. If you missed this session of Secret Friends, another one will start back up in the new year and we will keep you posted as the date approaches.
SEND US YOUR MERRY MAIL! During the upcoming holiday season, we will be displaying our Church family’s Christmas cards in our foyer. If you are sending out a holiday card this year, we hope you will send one to the church for our congregation to enjoy.
MIDWEEK FELLOWSHIP is taking a break this week but will resume its studies on Tuesday, November 27, at 6 pm in the Board Room.
JOIN THE VOCAL ENSEMBLE! The holidays are here and now is the perfect time to unwrap those vocal cords. If you would like to join the vocal ensemble for our holiday season performance, please see Ritchie Carbajal after the service.
THE 2019 GOD’S CREATION CALENDARS make great gifts and are available for a donation of $10. This Pathfinder fundraiser will help our Club continue to climb toward their 2019 Oshkosh Camporee fundraising goal. Find a Pathfinder to take some of these beautiful calendars home with you today!
A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO, OUR CHURCH RAISED MONEY to purchase new linens for Operation Safehouse—an emergency shelter for homeless youth in crisis. Because of your generosity, 20 new sets of linens were purchased and will be hand-delivered to the shelter by our Pathfinders this afternoon.
AS YOU PREPARE YOUR FEAST, don’t forget to keep your Loma Linda and Worthington canned food labels. The Labels Make Cents Program will donate $0.25 to our church for each label we receive.
