THE DATE HAS CHANGED FOR THE “SECRET FRIENDS” reveal luncheon. The luncheon will now be held on Sabbath, December 15, immediately following the worship service. If you missed this session of Secret Friends, another one will start back up in the new year and we will keep you posted as the date approaches.
THE WOMEN’S SHELTER is in need of the following items for their pantry: jars of pasta sauce, dried pasta, canned tuna, peanut butter, jelly, cold cereal, canned fruit, low-sugar juice, assorted instant oatmeal packets, peanut butter or cheese crackers, granola bars, fruit snacks, and goldfish snack packs. They are also in need of any used $0.10 plastic grocery bags you may have amassed. Items may be placed in the shelter donation bin in the sanctuary foyer.
JOIN THE VOCAL ENSEMBLE! The holidays are right around the corner and now is the perfect time to unwrap those vocal cords. If you would like to join the vocal ensemble for our holiday season performance, please see Ritchie Carbajal after the service. Our first rehearsal is TODAY.
THE 2019 GOD’S CREATION CALENDARS make great gifts and are available for a donation of $10. This Pathfinder fundraiser will help our Club continue to climb toward their 2019 Oshkosh Camporee fundraising goal. Find a Pathfinder to take some of these beautiful calendars home with you today!
THE NEW CITY SINFONIA will present a free concert at Paradise Valley Church tomorrow, November 11, at 7 pm. A full symphony orchestra will take the audience on a “world tour” of music by Beethoven, Faure, Haydn, Cherubini, and Svendsen.
A COUPLE MONTHS AGO, OUR CHURCH RAISED MONEY to purchase new linens for Operation Safehouse—an emergency shelter for homeless youth in crisis. Because of your generosity, 20 new sets of linens were purchased and will be hand-delivered to the shelter by our Pathfinders on November 17.
THE “LABELS MAKE CENTS” PROGRAM will donate $0.25 to our church for each Loma Linda and Worthington canned food label we receive. So when you’re preparing your holiday meals, please don’t throw your labels away. Bring them to the church office!
