TODAY WE WELCOME pastor Paul Mugane to our pulpit. Pastor Mugane was born and raised in Kenya in an Adventist home. As a young man, he moved to Minnesota where he met and married his wife, Tara. They have two sons, Logan 24 and Ethan 19. Paul received a B.A. in Psychology from Metropolitan State University, and an M.Div. from an ecumenical seminary. He served as associate pastor of the Minnetonka SDA Church before relocating to San Diego in 2005. He taught at San Diego Academy from 2006-2015. In 2017, Pastor Mugane completed his Clinical Pastoral Education degree and was hired by Sharp Healthcare as a hospital chaplain at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, where he has worked ever since. We are blessed to have Pastor Mugane as our guest speaker this morning!
THIS WEEK, in honor of Mother’s Day, 27 pounds of See’s Candy were delivered to the women living in the South Bay domestic violence shelter. Thanks to the generous donations of our Church family, chocolates, given in love for those who have never received it, became nourishment for the soul. This very worthy program would not be possible without your kindness and generosity.
WE ARE IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS to give the opening prayer and children’s story each Sabbath. If you would like to give back to our Church in this way, we invite you to sign up in the foyer.
