WE ARE IN THE MIDST OF A SERMON SERIES titled Jesus: Israel’s Teacher. As Christians, our marching orders come from Jesus of Nazareth. He is the interpreter of scripture, and our worldview should come from Him. Mentally and spiritually, He is the healthiest person in the Bible; therefore, He is the model for “spiritual” Israel. We hope you are enjoying this summer series.
TEEN SABBATH IS BACK TODAY! If you are between the ages of 12-17, we want you to join us at 11:00 am in the Youth Room for fellowship and fun! After the service, we will be heading to UTC’s Noble Recreation Center Park for a picnic lunch and outdoor activities. The next Teen Sabbath will be held on Sabbath, October 5 (followed by apple picking in Julian!).
OUR SHELTER MINISTRY IS COLLECTING DONATIONS for those living in the South Bay Shelter. Monetary donations will be put toward purchasing back to school clothes, undergarments, shoes, socks, and backpacks for 45 children currently in the shelter. The Ministry is also collecting donations of “business clothes” for women living in the shelter to wear to job interviews.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS interested in helping at the breakfast bar on either the second or fifth Sabbath of each month. The 2nd Sabbath breakfast team is looking for a volunteer to contribute fruit each month. We currently do not have a consistent team for the occasional 5th Sabbath; however, if you would like to form a team of your own or contribute a single item or dish (no rotating commitment necessary), sign-ups are located at the table in our foyer.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CONTRIBUTE TITHES AND OFFERINGS, you may do so in person by dropping your offering into the offering box in the foyer or placing your offering in a collection plate as you exit the sanctuary at the conclusion of the service. We also offer an online giving option via our church website.
