WE ARE BLESSED TO WELCOME SHAWNA CAMPBELL to our pulpit today! Shawna has hugged a super soft kangaroo and been gently swung back and forth by an elephant. She has hiked the Cedars of Lebanon, canoed through the mountain ranges of Banff, and climbed the ancient boulders of the Egyptian pyramids. These experiences have shaped her deep appreciation for both adventure and the sacredness of life’s moments. Shawna grew up in the mission field then spent her teenage years in Canada. Her professional journey began at Walla Walla University then led her to take her Master’s in Pastoral Ministry from Andrews University. She worked at Loma Linda University Church before the Lord gently guided Shawna into hospital chaplaincy, where her passion for care has deepened and continues to grow. She feels called to create spaces of spiritual care in life’s most vulnerable moments and is honored to walk alongside individuals and families as they navigate grief, uncertainty, and hope. Shawna has also authored two books designed to help make the Bible meaningful for children. She enjoys speaking on creative ways to engage faith in everyday life and believes deeply in the power of story and connection. She praises God for the privilege of participating in His work and is grateful to embrace the ongoing journey into chaplaincy that continues to shape her life and calling. She has loved her husband, Kirk, since college and treasures her two adult daughters, Teia and Tiana.
