WE ARE BLESSED TO WELCOME Chaplain Paul Mugane as our guest speaker this morning. Chaplain Mugane is a hospital chaplain at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa. He and his wife, Tara, have been members of our church for many years. Thank you, Pastor Mugane, for bringing us The Word this morning.
OUR NEXT CHURCH SOCIAL EVENT is a vespers and ice cream social at the Voth’s home on August 8 at 6:00 pm. A sign-up sheet is located at the table in the foyer. If you’re able to attend, please sign up so we know how many chairs/tables we’ll need.
MIDWEEK FELLOWSHIP IS ON ITS ANNUAL SUMMER BREAK and will resume its studies on Tuesday, September 8, at 6:00 pm in the Church Board room.
THE CHURCH BOARD HAS VOTED to make Ritchie and Lederle’s mission trips to the Philippines an official outreach activity of our church. At the end of this month they will be traveling with an SDA medical team to General Santos City in the southern part of the country. If you would like to support this ministry at any time, please write “Carbajal Mission” on your offering envelope or when donating online.
WE ARE IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS to give the opening prayer or the children’s story. Sign-ups are in the foyer. No rotating volunteer commitment is necessary.
DURING RATTLESNAKE SEASON, we sometimes have critters from the nearby canyon wander onto our campus looking for water. Please keep a close eye on your children and stick to the paths.
THANK YOU FOR CONTINUING TO REMEMBER OUR CHURCH in your giving. We have some challenging expenses ahead of us this calendar year, and your help is greatly appreciated. Of great importance are roofing repairs in the Fellowship Hall building, the repair of our baptistry, and much needed upgrades to our audio and visual system in the Fellowship Hall (we have a Southeastern California Conference meeting in the hall this coming October).
