THE MAINLY MOZART YOUTH ORCHESTRA (MMYO), under the baton of Hernan Constantino, has stood for excellence in music-making and education since 1995. Featuring top instructors with decades of experience, MMYO provides its students with solo, chamber, and orchestral performance opportunities all throughout San Diego. MMYO offers unparalleled access to the Mainly Mozart All-Star Orchestra, the largest annual gathering of concertmasters and principal players from major orchestras across the country, including the New York Philharmonic, Cleveland Orchestra, and Los Angeles Philharmonic. We want to extend a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to Joseph Shanks, Director of Music Education, for making this group’s return to our sanctuary possible. The annual MMYO Holiday Showcase is taking place tonight in our sanctuary at 5:00 pm. Admission is $25/person and may be purchased at www.MainlyMozart.org. You won’t want to miss it!

OUR SHELTER MINISTRY PROVIDES Costco Christmas dinners to each family living in the South Bay Shelter. This ministry also gives the mothers living in the Shelter the means necessary to go Christmas shopping for their children. It is never too late to donate to this ministry! Mark “Women’s Shelter” on your tithe envelope and help keep the Christmas spirit alive for these precious families.
OUR DEAR FRIEND AND CHURCH MEMBER, MARY BETTS, passed away two weeks ago at the age of 87. She and her husband Chobby fell in love with our church when they visited about 20 years ago. Mary never lost her strong faith in God’s leading in her life and she looked forward with great anticipation to being reunited with Chobby at the resurrection. A graveside memorial will be held at Miramar National Cemetery on Tuesday, January 6, at 2:15 pm. A church memorial service is pending.
