WE ARE IN THE MIDST OF A SERMON series on the letter to the Hebrews. This is a letter that is particularly pertinent for Adventists because we have a lot in common with the Hebrew people of biblical times. We hope you find a blessing in today’s sermon.

KELLY HESTER’S SABBATH SCHOOL CLASS has just begun a new book titled “Walking in the Dust of Rabbi Jesus” by Lois Tverberg. This class discusses one chapter each week, fostering conversations in an encouraging atmosphere. If you have been looking for a chance to join this class, now is a great time!
TEEN SABBATH WILL BEGIN AGAIN in two weeks on Sabbath, September 6, at 11:00 am in the Youth Room. On the first Sabbath of each month during the school year, this group for 12–17-year-olds meets to worship, potluck with one another, and enjoy activities that lead to lasting memories and friendships. Our September 6 worship service will be followed by apple picking in Julian!
PANSY POWERS’ FATHER, DAVID DEVARAJ PAKKIANATHAN, passed away on August 8. His memorial service is this afternoon, at 3:30 pm at the Clairemont SDA Church (4125 Hathaway St, San Diego 92111).
