TODAY WE CELEBRATE OUR PHOENIX PATHFINDER CLUB and look back on their tremendous year of growth and service. Thank you to the parents and leaders who have poured out their time and energy, helping the Phoenix to flourish. And a big thank you to our fearless Director, Kelly Hester, for her outstanding passion and leadership.
PASTOR GARY CONTINUES A FOUR-PART SERMON SERIES TODAY titled The Passion of Jesus Christ. This series is an examination of the final week of Christ’s life, beginning with what Christians call “Palm Sunday,” and culminating with the resurrection of Jesus. There are many lessons for us to learn from this most interesting week. Today is part 3 in the series.
RAY BOCK, A BELOVED MEMBER OF OUR CHURCH, passed away on Monday. Ray was a good friend to so many of us in this church and his absence is sorely felt. Please keep his wife Penny in your prayers, as well as the entire Bock family. A memorial service is pending.
NEXT SABBATH we will celebrate Christ’s Resurrection with a special Easter Sabbath worship service. We hope you can join us.
THE NEXT MEETING OF THE SAN DIEGO ADVENTIST FORUM will be at 3 pm next Sabbath, April 20, at Paradise Village. Holocaust survivor, Rose Schindler, will share her story of survival and lessons learned. The meetings are free and open to everyone.
OUR MIDWEEK FELLOWSHIP is currently in a series titled Adventism at a Crossroads. What is the future of the Adventist denomination? How did we get our fundamental beliefs? Why are we growing so rapidly outside of North America? Does the Bible foretell the Adventist movement? Join us Tuesdays at 6 pm in the Board Room.
